Like many fitness professionals around the world, Holistic Health & Wellness Expert Terri Cramb had it all. She had a beautiful family, a healthy body, and two thriving fitness studios. But underneath all the external things that made her look successful, Terri was terribly exhausted, stressed, and unhappy. She was tired of trying to keep a business afloat and meeting everybody’s expectations of what kind of person she should be. Then, she decided to take a shift that forever changed her perception of life, business, health, and wellness.
In this episode, Terri and I discuss her philosophy on health and wellness. We explore the experience that led her to close her fitness studios and inspired her holistic view on what “wellness” means. We highlight the challenges of a service-based business and explain why running one should serve its owner first. We also consider the downsides of today’s fitness industry and underscore the power of self-awareness in creating health and wellbeing.
“There’s a way we can feel good about ourselves physically and soulfully; a way that truly ripples out to the rest of our lives.” – Terri Cramb
